Sticky Introduction

This is an introductory post to give you some idea of who I am and what I do.

Writing: I mainly write fanfiction right now and my work can be found on AO3 where I’m known as Fictionwriter. I also write original fic, most of which hasn’t seen the light of day so far.

Me: I don’t post very often, something that I will try and remedy, but when I do it tends to be a bit heavily laden with photographs as photography is a passion of mine. So, if you like to see pictures of birds and animals and the occasional attempt at some ‘artistic’ shots feel free to drop by, new friends are always welcome.

Fandoms: Many and varied. I love to read fanfic so welcome any new offerings and recommendations by friends no matter what fandom it is.

Hi and thank you! I get very lucky sometimes with my shots, feel free to take a look around. I write in a couple of fandoms but read in a lot more. Harry Potter is a favourite:D I'm sure the challenges in Snowflake are going to be a lot of fun and thank you for the welcome:)

I don't mind at all. I've just added you to my circle:) A friend made up some icons from my photos and that's one I use quite often. I'd love to be able to fly*g*

I didn't know you were doing the Snowflake challenge! I have other friends doing it too and will watch with interest. I haven't time to do it myself - I'm aiming to post something or other every other day this month, after every day last month. By February I might have better posting habits! I adore your photographs, especially the 'art' shots, but also just seeing Australian wildlife!

I didn't know I was doing it either until last night. A spur of the moment thing after I saw Kat's post about it.

Good luck with the every other day posting. I make myself promises like that but they usually don't come to fruition. Perhaps the Snowflake will get me moving.

Hi! Dropping in from Snowflake. After reading the comment above I had to go check out your photos, too. *g* The ducks are so cute! And the birds in the first and second post are so colorful! Really beautiful. I love that you were able to catch some in flight because that looks awesome.

Hi, nice to see another Snowflake person here:)

I often get lucky with some of my shots and the birds sometimes just seem to like to co-operate:) We have some lovely and unique birds here, since retiring I've come to really appreciate what we do have.

Also, your photographs are so gorgeous. Have you ever thought about submitting them to competitions or maybe just doing something like a self-published photo book or calendar or something?

You were quite persuasive in your post and I thought I really should try and connect with new people, be a bit more social.

I'm not sure the photos are competition quality. I have thought of photo books, prints or calendars but I don't have a printer so that makes it a bit difficult. I'd also like some decent photo editing software, maybe when I eventually get a decent laptop that's not just about on its last legs*g* It would be nice to maybe do something with them though - one day:)

Hi there, nice to meet you:) Glad you like my photos, we have such lovely birds and unusual animals here and I enjoy photographing them when I can. I'm looking forward to exploring your work too, I see you have similar tastes in fanfic to me. I read in a lot of fandoms, far more than I write in!

Belated Happy New Year. So good to see that you're doing snowflake challenge. I tried a few years ago and gave up after the first challenge!

Your photos are, as always, a delight to see and like Kat I do think you should try and do a book of them.

I'm plugging away at the Snowflake Challenge, definitely don't think I'll do them all, but at least it makes me post more often than my usual twice a year :P

I might look at ways I could possibly print up a book or something of some of the photos, it's certainly worth some investigation anyway:)
